We are looking for a strong leader with a proven ability to build, mentor, and inspire high-performing teams to join our team as a Manager of Software Engineering. This role plays a key part in leading our software engineering and quality assurance teams to design, build, test, and support the scalable, secure software solutions that power our business
What You Will Do as a USANA Software Engineering Manager
- Provide technical leadership for software solutions, partnering with architecture and product teams to ensure designs are scalable, secure, and reliable
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers and QA professionals to build a high-performing, accountable engineering organization
- Plan and manage engineering delivery to achieve predictable, high-quality outcomes while proactively addressing risks, dependencies, and capacity constraints
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices, including automation and AI-assisted development tools, and personally use AI in your day-to-day work
- Implement and reinforce engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and reliability
- Collaborate across product management, architecture, DevOps, and business stakeholders to align technical execution with business priorities
Background and Skills You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8–10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3–5+ years of software engineering leadership or people management experience
- Experience leading a software engineering team and managing delivery across multiple concurrent initiatives
- Experience coaching engineers, building high-performing teams, and managing performance and career development
- Strong technical background with experience contributing to solution design, architecture, and technical decision-making
- Experience with cloud-native architectures, modern software development practices, and enterprise software platforms
What Will Make You Standout
- Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, AI-enabled software development tools, and responsible AI development practices
- Experience collaborating effectively across products, architecture, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, data, and business stakeholders
- A track record of driving engineering culture and continuous improvement through data-driven decision making
